Issuing a Transmittal

Committing a transmittal is the final step in the distribution process. You can commit to issue a transmittal, providing that its status is "Pending".

Once the transmittal is committed, it is a permanent record, and no further changes can be made. Errors can be rectified by returning the document and then re-issuing it.

Follow these steps to issue a transmittal in AssetWise ALIM Web.

  1. Open the transmittal that you want to issue.
  2. From the Object menu, select Commit Issue.
    A confirmation dialog appears.
  3. Click Commit. The transmittal is committed, and the Transmittal page appears.
