Displaying Comment and Review Information

Generally, when external organizations submit documents via AssetWise ALIM Web for Comments Tracking, the document submitter does not have "View" permissions on the Comments Tracking workflow. If this is the case, you will only see the Comment and Review information described in this section, once the workflow has been completed and the related document is approved.

Tip: Typically, the Comments Tracking workflow template is configured with the last task being an Approval task. In doing so, the documents being reviewed in the workflow are automatically approved when the workflow is completed.

If the current user has view permission on the Comments Tracking workflow, progress can be viewed as soon as the submitted document is added to the workflow. For example,

If a document has been through multiple workflows, each Final Decision appears, and all workflows appear in the Review and Final Decision grid.

Once the Comments Tracking workflow is completed the Final Decision(s) appear. For example,

The Status column in the Review and Final Decision topic is updated from "Active" to "Complete".

Note: Users that do not have "View" permissions on the workflow, can see the Final Decision(s), but the Review and Final Decision topic will not be visible.
