Sending a Transmittal

After a transmittal has been committed, it can be sent to one or more recipients, via e-mail.

Follow these steps to email a transmittal to someone.

  1. In AssetWise ALIM Web, open the distribution order that includes the transmittal that you want to e-mail.
  2. Expand the Transmittals topic, and then select the transmittal that you want to e-mail.
  3. From the Object menu, select Send e-mail.

    The Send E-mail page appears.

  4. In the Recipients topic, find each recipient by:
    1. Selecting either Enter names and numbers, Select objects from Basket, or Use the search
    2. Select the recipient
    3. Click Select.
  5. Repeat Step 4 for each recipient.
  6. Enter an E-mail subject.
  7. Enter the Message Text to appear in the body of the email.
  8. When you are finished, click Send. The e-mail is sent.
  9. To send multiple transmittals to recipients at the same time, do the following:
    1. Open the Distribution Order and then from the Object menu, select Email Transmittal(s)
    2. Enter an E-mail subject
    3. Expand the Transmittals topic and select each transmittal that you want to send
    4. Click Send.
    The e-mail recipient can now view and acknowledge the transmittal.
