Various predefined data can be configured as default data to support the distribution process.

The following preparation is required:

• Define a default organization, address, remarks, and media type for distribution orders and transmittals. Click the Settings ( ) icon in the menu bar, then select System Preferences, and then expand Document Distribution to edit available settings. For example,

  
• distribution order numbering mask is configured at the corresponding template in AssetWise Director. Transmittal and document copy numbering masks must be defined in the System Preferences, because these objects are not created from templates:

  Select Settings ( ) icon in the menu bar, then select System Preferences, and then expand System Default - Identification to edit available settings. For example,

  
• Define a list of Distribution Reasons to be selected by users when creating a distribution order. For more information, see "To Configure the List of Distribution Reasons", in the AssetWise Director Help.
• Predefine distribution lists to facilitate the selection of recipients and their preferred address/copy type. (This step is optional)
