Creating an Organization from a Template

Follow these steps to create an Organization, in AssetWise ALIM Web.

  1. From the Navigation pane, select the Home icon. The Create New card appears in the Content pane. For example,
  2. If more than one scope exists in the community, set the scope in which to create the organization.
  3. Click Organization.
    The Create an Organization wizard opens. For example,
  4. Select an approved organization template that you want to use, and then click Create and edit.
    The Organization page appears, open to the Properties topic. For example,
  5. Enter the following required information:
    • Code – A unique code to assign to the organization
      Tip: You can use a numbering mask and then click to automatically generate a code based on the specified format.
    • Name – The name of the organization.
    • Remarks – Any important notes can be entered here.
    • Status – Ensure that Active is selected
    • Class – The name of the class to assign to this organization.
      Note: This is an auto-complete field that only displays classes that exist in the specified community.
  6. Depending on the template, you can expand additional topics to add objects to the organization.
  7. When you are finished, click Save. The organization is created, and the Organization page appears. For example,
