Terminology
Some of the terms used in this Help may be unfamiliar to you or different from what is used in your organization. This section aids to assist in removing any ambiguity and understanding the concepts and terms used in AssetWise ALIM.
Below is a list of terms and their definitions pertaining to
workflows and behavior, in the
AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector:

| As Built Document | A change controlled document that is used for operation. Once it has been approved, it may not be unnapproved. |
| As Built Folder / Destination Folder | The root (base) folder for the As Built folder structure, that is used to store change controlled documents as they are approved from an implementation on a Change Request. |
| Change Package | A collection of
AssetWise
ALIM objects that are created as part of
the creation of a change request, in
AssetWise
ALIM.
Optionally, the package may include a workflow and a change disposition document. |
| Change Request | A part of a Change
Package.
Also referred to as a Change Project. |
| Hard Revision | The change controlled document that results from the creation of a change request. |
| Native Document Copy | The document copy name(s) as specified in the ProjectWiseNativeFileDocumentCopies system setting. For more information, see "AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector Settings", in the AssetWise ALIM Web Implementation Guide. |
| Native File | A file with the file type specified in the ProjectWiseNativeFileTypes system setting. For more information, see "AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector Settings", in the AssetWise ALIM Web Implementation Guide. |
| Project | In AssetWise ALIM, a container object in AssetWise that can have attributes and relationships with most other AssetWise ALIM object types. |
| Project Revision Document | A non-change controlled AssetWise ALIM document that is the result of having an approved, change controlled document affected by a change request. This document is a prototype. |
| Prototype | A work-in-progress copy of a revision. Synonymous with Project Revision Document. |
| Rendition Copy | The document copy name that is specified in the ProjectWiseRenditionCopyName system setting. For more information, see "AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector Settings", in the AssetWise ALIM Web Implementation Guide. |
| Renditions | Files with the file types specified in the ProjectWiseRenditionExtensions system setting. For more information, see "AssetWise ALIM ProjectWise Connector Settings", in the AssetWise ALIM Web Implementation Guide. |
