A workflow identifies a set of tasks that need to be done in a specific order to achieve a specific result.

You can create workflows:

From a template
From a an object.

Subject Data

Note: If you are adding objects to a workflow and you want the object to appear in the work exchange, you need to add the object as Subject Data. When you add an object to a workflow as Subject Data, you are saying that the workflow exists as a result of the related subjects.

When you add any of the above objects to a workflow, you are prompted with a wizard such as the Pick Documents or Pick Workflow wizards. Be sure to indicate that you want the object to be marked as the subject of the AssetWise Object(s), if you want this object to display in the work exchange. For example,

Note: If it is an approval workflow, the subjects must also be related to the approval task. Then, when that step/task is completed, the subjects are approved in AssetWise ALIM Web.
